Do you offer online lessons?

Yes! We offer virtual 1:1 private sessions all through Zoom! We also have an awesome online portal that gives students access to session notes, practice resources, and everything they need to jam on their own.

What are your in-person options?

We offer private sessions in our home studio located in Brooklyn, and in-home private sessions in Manhattan & Brooklyn.

What can I expect from my music session?

Unlike other traditional approaches to music lessons, we tailor our learning around the musical interests of each student, and we prioritize playing over music theory and rote exercises (we think these are important, just not essential to accessing music as a beginner). Especially for younger students, our goal is to foster a love of music, to spark curiosity, and to inspire creativity. You can expect to have a lot of FUN jamming with your teacher (music mentor), accomplishing things you didn't think were possible, and learning the language of music! Depending on interest and level, there are opportunities for students to record original music/cover tracks at Soul Flow House Studio in Brooklyn.

Can I purchase a single music session?

After your first trial session, all school-aged Soul Flow House students operate on a membership basis for one-on-one sessions. We do this so that students can achieve consistent and continued progress in their musical journey.

Adults have the option of booking single music sessions.

What ages do you teach?

Soul Flow House offers creative music sessions for all ages! No seriously, our youngest student is 2, and our oldest student is over 70! Instrument-based private sessions are for ages 5/6 and up.

What if I can’t make my regularly scheduled session?

Cancellations given with a 24-hour notice qualify for a make-up credit*.

We honor 1 same-day cancellation per Soul Flow House student. Any other session cancelled within 24 hrs will be billed without make-up credit.

*Make-up credits expire 30 days after the original session date.

What happens if my session falls on a holiday?

If we are closed for the holiday (we’ll let you know ahead of time), you won’t be charged for the session.

What if I need to put a pause on sessions, or stop them altogether?

To avoid being charged for an additional month, you need to notify us 14 days prior to the 1st of the upcoming month. Your account will then be marked as inactive and you will no longer be charged or sent notifications.
